Description

Originally built in 1972 as a recreational facility for the Skukuza personnel in the Kruger National Park, this golf course has many unique aspects. There are many golf courses bordering the outskirts of the Kruger National Park, but this is the only course inside the park.

The course only has 9 holes, but 18 tees. The surroundings of the course are home to a variety of bird life and wildlife including the “Big 5” (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant, and Buffalo). There are no fences surrounding the course, so you are more than likely to have giraffe, elephant or zebra blocking the fairways. If that is not enough, the water hazards may become tricky with hippo and crocodile calling them home, especially lake panic which comes into play on many of the holes.

The course is a pleasure to play for any level of golfer. One of the most enjoyable holes is the number 2, par-3 having water on the left and to the back. Wherever there is water there is danger.
